There should have been a lot more Astartes that would go against Horus since a lot of them was with the the Emperor more than their Primarchs. During Istvan, half of their fleet should've ended in a orbital conflict with Horus especially Angrons fleet since most of them didn't care less for their Primarch. Astartes are too proud, they wouldn't let betrayal happen to proud men fighting for their true leader...

I really hope you continue this and tell the full story. The Horus Heresy is one of my favourite stories in all of fiction, and the quality in which you tell it with the music, sound effects and visuals is just fantastic.

the fighting style of the death Korps most likely resembles the USMC and Imperial Japan. With the USMC refusing to retreat when the British and French told them to. The US Marines then donned their gas masks and then got into extremely bloody close combat with shovels and bayonets. the Japanese part of the fighting is because of their love for their emperor and willingness to die for him while doing bayonet charges.

This made me Check out the game (Iron Harvest) only to find that it somewhat lacks the signature griddle WWI/Steampunk aesthetic that this animation has in abundance. The game almost feels a little too arcade in how it feels. It’s a shame, could have been my new favorite RTS if otherwise.

WWI weapons and tactics crushing one of the most technologically advanced species in the galaxy....IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!
